Miguel Ángel Mañanas
Biography
Miquel Angel Mañanas received his Telecommunications Engineering and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering degrees from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1993 and 1999, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Automatic Control (ESAII) at the same university. He also belongs to the Biomedical Signal and Systems Division of the Biomedical Engineering Research Centre (CREB) at UPC.
He is a member of the Spanish Committee of Automatics (CEA), the Spanish Biomedical Engineering Society (SEIB) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Teaching
He teaches subjects on Automatics and Systems Engineering at the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona (ETSEIB). Courses are related to Control Theory, Continuous Time Systems and Digital Control, as well as Signal Analysis. Currently, he is the Director of Post-Graduate Program “Technologies of Industrial Control and Scada” of the CIM Foundation. He also teaches a course on Biomedical Signals in the Master on Biomedical Engineering (UPC and Universitat de Barcelona).
